Obverse description Printed in black and orange on a light ground, the obverse carries the bank title BANCO DE VENEZUELA arched across the upper centre in bold letterpress, with SOCIEDAD ANÓNIMA and capital information below. An allegorical female figure occupies the left panel alongside a large numeral 100, while an intaglio vignette at centre presents a seated female allegory with a cherub and a maritime background, and an engraved portrait of Simón Bolívar in military uniform anchors the right side. The denomination CIEN BOLÍVARES is set within a guilloche band across the lower centre, beneath which appears the payment clause QUE SE PAGARÁN AL PORTADOR EN CARACAS A LA PRESENTACIÓN, with serial number fields flanking the central vignette.
