| Reverse description | Dark brown on pink-tan underprint, with the same outer border legend 'NOTGELD DER STADT HERNE' at top and bottom and '100 000 MK' along both vertical margins. A bold arched banner across the upper portion carries the large white numerals '100 000 Mark' in Roman type. Below the arch, the arms of the City of Herne — a mural crown above a shield bearing a tree on a globe — serve as the central vignette. Two blocks of Fraktur text beneath state the city's guarantee of redemption and the note's validity conditions, while the printer's imprint 'FR. WILH. RUHFUS DORTMUND' appears at the foot of the note. |
