| Obverse description | The Hungarian coat of arms, depicting the traditional quartered shield with the Árpád stripes and the apostolic double cross on a mound, is displayed centrally in the field, surmounted by the Holy Crown of Saint Stephen with its distinctive crooked cross finial. Two winged angels in classical pose flank the shield on either side, their hands raised in support of the crown above. The mint mark 'BP.' appears to the lower left and the date '2001' to the lower right of the shield. The denomination '100000 FORINT' is inscribed horizontally across the lower field, with the legend 'MAGYAR KÖZTÁRSASÁG' (Republic of Hungary) arranged along the lower rim in large capital letters. |

| Reverse description | King Saint István (Stephen I) is depicted enthroned in majesty at the center of the composition, wearing the royal crown and robes, holding an orb in his left hand, rendered in a Romanesque relief style evoking medieval manuscript illumination. A ceremonial arch frames the king from behind, supported by two ornate columns. Flanking him symmetrically are ecclesiastical and secular figures: two armored knights and two clerics, including a bishop bearing a crozier, all rendered in period costume suggestive of the early eleventh century Hungarian court. The throne base is decorated with interlaced floral ornament in Romanesque style. The engraver's initials 'FM' appear in the lower right field. |
