Banco de Cabinda has no recognized legal standing — Cabinda is an Angolan exclave, not a sovereign state, and issues attributed to it are privately produced fantasy pieces with no monetary authority behind them. The hundred-million-real denomination places it firmly in the tradition of hyperinflation novelty coinage, a format exploiting the spectacle of large numbers rather than documenting any actual monetary event.
