This trial strike belongs to a design program commissioned to mark the 25th anniversary of Poland's postwar resettlement — specifically the forced population transfers that followed the Yalta and Potsdam agreements, which displaced millions of Poles from the Kresy territories in the east while simultaneously absorbing former German lands in the west.
