| Beschrijving voorzijde | At center, the Polish eagle displayed with spread wings, its head turned to the right, rendered in a bold sculptural style against a smooth field. The eagle bears no crown, consistent with the People's Republic period heraldry. The circular legend reads POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA along the upper arc, with the denomination 10 DZIESIĘĆ ZŁOTYCH 10 inscribed along the lower arc, all in Latin script. The legends are separated by raised dots serving as dividers. This is a trial strike (próba) in copper-nickel, struck without the standard PRÓBA inscription present on other pattern variants. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A seated frontal effigy of King Kazimierz III Wielki (Casimir the Great) occupies the central field, depicted enthroned in royal robes and wearing a closed crown, holding a scepter in his right hand and an orb or book in his left, in a dignified, stylized sculptural manner. The inscription KAZIMIERZ WIELKI appears in the field to the left and right of the figure. The circular legend SZEŚĆSETLECIE UNIWERSYTETU JAGIELOŃSKIEGO runs along the upper arc, commemorating the 600th anniversary of the Jagiellonian University. The dates :1364:1964: are inscribed along the lower arc, flanking the base of the throne. The overall design is the work of engraver Józef Gosławski, executed in a refined medallic style. |
