Beschrijving voorzijde Central field features a high-relief portrait of Czesław Niemen, the celebrated Polish rock and jazz musician, depicted with long flowing hair and a wide-brimmed hat, his bearded face rendered in a slightly three-quarter view with an introspective expression. The portrait is set within a rectangular inner frame reminiscent of a postage stamp, evoking a commemorative graphic design aesthetic. To the lower right of the portrait appears the Polish crowned eagle, the national emblem. The legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA arcs along the left border, with the denomination 10 ZŁ inscribed along the bottom, and the artist's name NIEMEN CZESŁAW placed vertically within the inner frame. The date 2009 and the mint mark mw appear in the upper right field.

Beschrijving keerzijde The central field presents a surrealist, expressionistic composition depicting a human face with closed eyes, partially obscured by two large hands raised on either side, evoking themes of emotion and artistic catharsis. Teardrop-like abstract forms flow from beneath the eyes, contributing to the dreamlike quality of the design. This imagery is rendered within a square inner frame. Along the upper border of the outer field appears the legend N.AE./KATHARSIS, referencing Niemen's celebrated album. The legend HISTORIA POLSKIEJ MUZYKI ROZRYWKOWEJ (History of Polish Popular Music) runs vertically along the left border and horizontally along the lower border, identifying the commemorative series. The engraver's initial k is visible in the lower right of the inner frame.
