Obverse description Centrally placed Polish state eagle of the People's Republic, displayed with wings spread and bearing a shield on its breast, facing right. The eagle is rendered in a bold, sculptural style with detailed feathering and talons visible in the lower field. The mint mark 'MW' appears to the lower right of the eagle. The circular legend reads 'POLSKA · RZECZPOSPOLITA · LUDOWA ·' around the upper periphery, with the date '1965' positioned along the lower rim, all separated by raised dots.
