| 背面描述 | The reverse features a bold artistic composition of the overlapping dates '1773' and '1973' in large interlocking numerals, symbolizing the bicentennial of the National Education Commission. At the center, an open book with a quill pen is depicted in relief, representing education and scholarship. The word 'PRÓBA' (trial/pattern) appears to the right of the central device. The circular legend 'KOMISJI · EDUKACJI · NARODOWEJ' runs along the upper periphery, while the inscription '· DWIEŚCIE · LAT ·' (Two Hundred Years) is positioned along the lower rim. |

The National Education Commission — Komisja Edukacji Narodowej — was established by the Polish Sejm in 1773, making it the first state ministry of education in the world, predating similar bodies in France and elsewhere by decades. This trial strike was produced ahead of the circulation issue to test the copper-nickel alloy against the intended design relief, a routine step at Mennica Polska before committing to full production runs. The 1773 commission itself emerged directly from the dissolution of the Jesuit order by Pope Clement XIV, which freed up substantial ecclesiastical funds that Poland redirected into a secular public school system.
