Along the upper arc of the centre field, branches bearing plum blossoms and auspicious ornamental knots form a decorative garland. The brass outer ring is plain and unadorned. To the left of the central design, the cyclical year inscription '丙申' (Bingshén, corresponding to the Year of the Monkey in the Chinese sexagenary cycle) appears in the field. |
