| Reverse description | The copper-nickel centre presents a stylized monkey rendered in a traditional Chinese paper-cut artistic style, seated and raising one arm playfully, its body decorated with floral motifs. To the upper left of the monkey, a decorative Chinese lantern with tassels is depicted, suspended from a branch. Along the upper arc of the centre field, branches bearing plum blossoms and auspicious ornamental knots form a decorative garland. The brass outer ring is plain and unadorned. To the left of the central design, the cyclical year inscription '丙申' (Bingshén, corresponding to the Year of the Monkey in the Chinese sexagenary cycle) appears in the field. |
