Descrizione del dritto	The Samoan coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield bearing a palm tree above ocean waves in the upper half and five stars of the Southern Cross constellation in the lower half, surmounted by a Christian cross. The shield is flanked by two symmetrical olive branches and supported by a scroll bearing the national motto legend FAVAE ILE ATUA SAMOA. The country name SAMOA appears in the upper legend and the denomination $10 is inscribed below the coat of arms.
