Reverse description The gold-plated outer ring bears the Latin legend NON ASSUMES NOMEN DOMINI DEI TUI IN VANUM along its upper arc, with the English translation 'You shall not make wrongful use of the name of your God' inscribed within the inner field near the top. The central silver field presents a high-relief scene of two robed figures in a desert landscape, one with arm raised dramatically, evoking a Biblical narrative illustrating the Second Commandment. Below the scene, the inscription 'II. Lex' identifies the commandment, and at the base two gold-plated stone tablets bearing the Roman numeral divisions of all Ten Commandments are depicted, flanked by ornamental floral motifs on the gold ring. The date 2009 appears in the lower exergue.
