The bank title BANCO CENTRAL DEL ECUADOR arcs across the top in bold letterpress, with the city of issue QUITO and date line below the central vignette. Two signature lines appear at the lower centre, attributed to the Gerente General and Superintendente de Bancos, with series and serial number printed in black at upper left and right.

Large numeral 10 panels occupy the left and right portions of the design.
