备注

The Compañía de Crédito Agrícola e Industrial was one of several regional Ecuadorian banks authorized to issue private banknotes under the country's decentralized banking laws of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. This arrangement — multiple private issuers circulating their own paper simultaneously — persisted until the Ley Orgánica de Bancos of 1927 and the founding of the Banco Central del Ecuador ended private note issue entirely. This 10 Sucres note was printed just six years before that consolidation wiped out the entire class of issuer.

ABNC's contract work for Ecuadorian private banks during this period is well documented. The New York plates were shared and adapted across multiple clients, which occasionally produces near-identical border treatments on notes from entirely different institutions.
