Aanvullende informatie

Somalia's 2002 wildlife series was issued during a period when the country had no functioning central government — the Central Bank of Somalia existed largely on paper, and the coins were almost certainly produced by a private mint on contract rather than through any genuine state monetary infrastructure. They circulated, if at all, in a country where foreign currency and informal exchange had long displaced domestic coinage.
