| Obverse description | The Somaliland national emblem occupies the brass centre, depicting a spread eagle supporting a balance scale, with clasped hands below and an olive wreath surrounding the device. An Arabic inscription appears above the emblem within the centre disc. The copper-nickel outer ring bears the legend 'BAANKA SOMALILAND' along the upper arc and the bilingual denomination 'SHILIN 10 SHILLINGS' along the lower arc, all in raised Latin lettering. A beaded border frames both the inner and outer edges of the coin. |
