To the lower right of the animal appears the Chinese character '羊' (goat/sheep) accompanied by the English legend 'SHEEP'. The copper-nickel outer ring carries the legend 'CHINESE TWELVE ZODIAC' along the upper arc, with the date '2012' flanked by raised dots at the lower arc. A beaded border runs along the inner and outer rim edges. |

| Additional information |
Somaliland declared independence from Somalia in 1991 but remains unrecognized by any United Nations member state, meaning its currency exists in a legal grey zone — accepted domestically but ignored by international monetary institutions. The Bank of Somaliland issues coinage largely as a practical domestic necessity rather than through any internationally sanctioned framework.
The "Full leaves" designation distinguishes this from a variant with incomplete or weak leaf rendering, a die difference significant enough to catalog separately under KM#91.
