Aanvullende informatie

Kenya's bimetallic shilling coinage was introduced in the mid-1990s as the country shifted away from its earlier nickel-clad steel issues. The non-magnetic distinction here separates this type from KM#35.2, a later steel-core variant introduced as production costs rose — a substitution that occurred quietly enough that both types circulated simultaneously without public notice or official announcement.
