Obverse description Bimetallic coin with a copper-nickel centre set within an aluminium bronze ring. The centre features the Kenyan national coat of arms — two lions rampant supporting a traditional Maasai shield and crossed spears — with the large numeral '10' prominently displayed above the arms in the upper field. The legend 'REPUBLIC OF KENYA' arcs along the upper portion of the outer ring, while 'TEN SHILLINGS' and the date appear along the lower portion, flanked by two raised bullet points.
