Obverse description Central vignette of a traditional Gambian sailing pirogue with lateen sail on the river, flanked by palm trees and riverbank scenery, rendered in fine intaglio line work against a green guilloche underprint. The denomination '10/-' appears in the upper left and lower right corners, with a large blank oval at right serving as the signature and serial number area. Two manuscript signatures appear below the vignette, attributed to the Chairman and Director of the Currency Board respectively.
