| 裏面の説明 | The reverse is printed in a multicolour scheme of orange, pink, green, and blue, with an elaborate interlocking guilloche pattern filling the entire field. The legend GOVERNMENT OF FIJI appears in bold serif lettering within a cartouche at the centre of the design. A plain circular watermark panel is reserved at the right, framed by a light blue border, while a decorative foliate guilloche vignette occupies the left margin. |

Fiji's prewar currency was issued directly by the colonial government rather than through a chartered bank — an arrangement that persisted until the establishment of the Currency Board in 1975. Bradbury Wilkinson handled the printing throughout this period, and their work for Pacific colonial territories in the 1930s is generally regarded as among their cleaner output.
Three distinct signature combinations appear across the 1934–1935 dates, reflecting administrative turnover in the Colonial Secretary's office. The January 1934 date is the hardest of the three to source in any grade.
