Obverse description Black letterpress and intaglio print on plain paper. The British Royal Arms vignette is centred at top, flanked by denomination numerals '10' in oval guilloche panels, with Sinhala and Tamil denomination legends in the upper corners. A broad panel below carries the promise-to-pay text in script and bold lettering, with the issuer's name in large capitals across its head.
