| Obverse description | The copper-nickel inner disc features the Lion Capital of Ashoka (the national emblem of India), depicted with three lions visible above the Dharma Chakra wheel and the abacus, rendered in fine relief at centre. The national motto 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate — Truth Alone Prevails) appears in Devanagari script below the emblem. The denomination '₹10' is inscribed prominently in the lower field. The aluminium bronze outer ring carries the legends 'भारत' in Devanagari to the left and 'INDIA' in Latin script to the right. |
