| Obverse description | Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in right profile occupies the right portion of the note, rendered in intaglio against a fine guilloche underprint in rose-red tones. The centre carries the denomination TEN RUPEES in bold letterpress, with a legal tender clause in script above, set over a circular vignette bearing multilingual text and the Office of the Commissioners of Currency imprint at Port Louis.
