Description de l’avers	A traditional Maldivian dhow (sailing vessel) is rendered in vignette at the right, set against a coastal scene, with the denomination numeral and serial number appearing in both vertical format at the left and horizontal format at the lower right. Two cowrie shells are positioned at the lower left, serving as a reference to the historic currency of the Maldives. The design incorporates fine guilloche underprint patterns throughout.
