| 表面の説明 | The bimetallic-style disc design features the denomination 10 РУБЛЕЙ in large numerals at centre, with the zero incorporating a latent image security device alternately revealing the numeral 10 and the abbreviation РУБ when the viewing angle is changed. The upper legend reads БАНК РОССИИ and the lower field bears the date 2013, flanked by a stylised olive branch to the left and an oak branch to the right. The mint mark СПМД appears within the design, identifying the Saint Petersburg Mint as the striking facility. |

Naro-Fominsk, a textile town southwest of Moscow, earned its city status only in 1926 — but its place in the commemorative rouble series was secured by its role in the winter of 1941–42, when Soviet forces recaptured it from German occupation during the Battle of Moscow. The town held symbolic weight in the broader counteroffensive narrative.
This piece belongs to the long-running "Cities of Military Glory" series authorized by federal law in 2006, which ultimately ran to well over a hundred issues and flooded circulation to the point where most examples were immediately hoarded or lost to novelty-seekers rather than spending.
