| 背面描述 | Central view of the Istana Negara (National Palace) in Kuala Lumpur, depicted in architectural elevation with its prominent central dome and symmetrical facade rendered in fine detail. Above the palace, the Malaysian federal coat of arms is displayed, featuring the crescent and fourteen-pointed star. The denomination '10 RINGGIT' appears in the lower field, flanked by the inscription 'ISTANA NEGARA' below the palace. The commemorative legend arcs around the upper portion of the coin within a beaded border. |

Abdul Halim of Kedah became the 14th Yang di-Pertuan Agong in April 2011, making him the first ruler to hold the office twice — he had previously served as the 7th Agong from 1970 to 1975. That distinction alone made the commemorative issue unusual, as the Malaysian royal rotation system among the nine hereditary state rulers had never before cycled back to the same individual.
Bank Negara's commemorative silver program for royal events has been issued sporadically since the 1980s, and this piece entered a relatively thin secondary market.
