正面描述 Blue on multicolour underprint. A portrait vignette of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah I in military uniform is positioned at right, rendered in intaglio. Guilloche patterns form the underprint across the face, with bilingual inscriptions in Malay and English running along the upper and lower margins.

背面描述 The reverse presents a vignette of the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque in Bandar Seri Begawan, rendered against a multicolour guilloche underprint in blue tones. The mosque's distinctive golden dome and minaret are illustrated in fine intaglio detail, set beside the ceremonial lagoon. Denomination numerals and issuer inscriptions appear in the surrounding margins.

备注

Bradbury Wilkinson's contract work for Brunei during this period predates the 1984 independence declaration, meaning early printings within the 1976–1986 range were issued under the 1959 Agreement with Britain — Brunei remaining a protectorate while managing its own currency through the Brunei Currency Board. The political status of the issuing authority actually shifted mid-series without a note redesign, a quiet anomaly that the Pick catalog does not flag.

Brunei, Singapore, and Malaysia had maintained currency interchangeability since 1967; by the time this series closed, only the Brunei-Singapore parity agreement survived intact, a arrangement that remains legally in force to this day.
