Aanvullende informatie

The Reichskreditkassen were established by decree in May 1940 specifically to provide occupation currency in territories seized by German forces, deliberately kept separate from the Reichsbank to insulate the domestic economy from the costs of occupation. This zinc pattern for a 10 Pfennig piece was almost certainly produced in anticipation of a broader military coinage rollout that never fully materialized in this denomination.

Zinc was mandated across German small coinage by this point, with all available copper and nickel redirected to armaments production.
