Obverse description Central field dominated by the elaborate calligraphic tughra of Sultan Abdulmecid I, rendered in intricate Ottoman script with characteristic looping and vertical strokes. To the right of the tughra, a decorative floral spray with leafy branches occupies the upper right field. The denomination numeral '١٠' (10) accompanied by the abbreviation for Qirsh appears in Arabic numerals at the bottom of the field, below the tughra. The entire design is contained within a milled border of fine denticles running around the coin's rim.
