| Obverse description | At lower left, a vignette of two Maori figures is rendered in fine intaglio engraving, while at lower right two kiwis are set against a palm tree and volcanic landscape. The centre of the note carries the printed promise-to-pay text within an elaborate guilloche border, with the denomination TEN POUNDS repeated in the lower corners.
