The upper portion carries the bilingual authority inscription 'EGYPTIAN GOVERNMENT CURRENCY NOTE / ISSUED UNDER DECREE' in English and 'الحكومة المصرية أوراق عملة رسمية' in Arabic, while the lower section bears the denomination numeral '10' at left, a manuscript signature above the title 'Minister of Finance', and a serial number at centre-right.
