| Obverse description | Central field displays the municipal arms of Wasseralfingen: a crowned shield bearing a rampant lion-like figure, surmounted by a civic mural crown. The date 1917 is divided either side of the shield, with '19' to the left and '17' to the right. A circular legend surrounds the design, reading 'NOTGELD DER GEMEINDE' in the upper arc and '• WASSERALFINGEN •' in the lower arc, all in incuse Latin lettering. The coin's blackened iron surface gives the piece a dark, oxidized appearance characteristic of wartime notgeld issues. |

| Obverse lettering | NOTGELD DER GEMEINDE 19 17 • WASSERALFINGEN • |
| Reverse description | The reverse presents a bold, plain denomination numeral '10' dominating the central field in large raised digits. Below the numeral, the abbreviation 'PF.' is inscribed in smaller letters, denoting Pfennig. The entire design is framed by an inner beaded border following the octagonal outline of the flan, with the field otherwise unadorned. The stark simplicity of the design reflects the utilitarian nature of World War I emergency coinage. |
