Obverse description Central quartered civic shield displaying the Treuchtlingen coat of arms, featuring in the four quarters a swan, a building or tower motif, wavy lines representing a river, and a fish or similar charge; the shield is surmounted by a mural crown. Flanking the shield are foliate or decorative supporters on either side. The city name legend 'STADT TREUCHTLINGEN' arcs around the lower portion of the field, with a small ornamental stop separating the two words at the base.

Reverse description Large bold numeral '10' occupies the central field, with the word 'PFENNIG' inscribed along the lower arc. The legend 'KRIEGSGELD 1919' curves around the upper portion of the field. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded (pearl) border running along the inner rim, giving a neat circular frame to the composition. Two small cross ornaments (✢) flank the denomination at the lower left and lower right between the legends.
