背面描述 The reverse displays an outer beaded rim surrounding a circular legend band inscribed KLEINGELDERSATZMARKE, interrupted by small floral ornaments at the base. An inner beaded circle encloses the municipal coat of arms of Neumünster, depicted as a crowned shield with a radiating sun or glory motif above, rendered in relief against a plain field. The design is typical of German municipal Notgeld tokens issued to alleviate small-change shortages during the post-World War I economic crisis.

附加信息

Neumünster's 1920 iron notgeld coinage was a direct consequence of the postwar metal shortage and the German Reich's inability to supply adequate small change to municipalities. Cities and towns across Schleswig-Holstein issued their own emergency coinage during this period, and Neumünster — a textile and leather manufacturing center — was among the more prolific local issuers. The Funck reference places this among a numbered series of local variants, suggesting multiple die types were produced for what was, functionally, pocket change covering tram fares and market transactions.
