Reverse description A continuous pearl border encircles the reverse field. Along the upper arc, the legend KRIEGSGELD 1917 curves within the border, flanked by small ornamental crosses and dots. The large numeral 10 is boldly struck and dominates the central field as the primary denomination indicator. Along the lower arc, the word PFENNIG curves to complete the denomination, likewise separated by ornamental cross and dot devices. The overall design is plain and functional, characteristic of German municipal Notgeld emergency coinage of the First World War period.
