| Obverse description | An outer pearl border frames a circular legend reading STADT GOTHA above and KLEINGELDERSATZ below, each separated by a six-pointed star ornament. An inner pearl circle encloses the large numeral 10 in the center of the field, serving as the denomination. The design is simple and utilitarian, consistent with the emergency coinage (Notgeld) typology of the post-World War I period. |

| Reverse description | A pearl border encircles the entire field, above which a mural crown is depicted at the top of the coin. Within the field, the full-length figure of St. Gotthard, Bishop of Hildesheim, is shown facing front, vested in episcopal robes and mitre, holding a crozier in his left hand and a book in his right. The figure stands in a devotional posture, consistent with his iconographic tradition as patron saint of Gotha. No inscriptions appear on this side. |
