| Obverse description | Octagonal zinc notgeld token with an outer beaded border following the coin's eight-sided contour. A circular inner beaded ring encloses the large numeral '10' in the central field, denoting the denomination. The circular legend 'FAHRZEUGFABRIK' arcs across the upper portion and 'EISENACH' across the lower portion, flanked by two six-pointed stars at the lateral positions serving as separators. The overall design is plain and utilitarian, consistent with wartime emergency small-change token production. |

Eisenach Fahrzeugfabrik began as a bicycle manufacturer in 1896 before pivoting to automobiles — it was among the earliest car producers in Germany, eventually becoming the Dixi works and later the origin point of BMW's automotive operations. Factory coinage of this type was issued as a substitute currency for canteen or payroll use, circulating only within the factory grounds. Zinc was the practical choice for low-denomination notgeld: cheap, easy to strike, and not worth hoarding.
