| Opis awersu | The octagonal zinc flan features the large numeral '10' prominently displayed in the central field, serving as the denomination indicator. Encircling the numeral is a dotted inner border, outside of which the circular legend reads 'ARDELTWERKE G.M.B.H. ★ EBERSWALDE ★', identifying the issuing industrial firm and its location. The legend is separated from the coin's edge by a further row of raised dots running along the perimeter of each facet. Ardeltwerke was a major crane and heavy machinery manufacturer in Eberswalde, Brandenburg, and like many large German industrial firms during the First World War and its chaotic aftermath, it resorted to issuing its own Notgeld to pay workers when the Reichsbank could not supply adequate small change. Factory-issued zinc pieces of this kind circulated exclusively within the plant's own payment ecosystem — company canteens, works stores, wage accounting — and rarely traveled far beyond the factory gate.
