| 备注 |
Baden was one of three French occupation zones carved from southwest Germany after the surrender — distinct from the American and British zones in administration and, briefly, in its local paper money. The French military authority permitted the reconstituted Land Baden to issue its own small-denomination notgeld-style scrip in 1947 to address a severe coin shortage, a problem endemic across all occupation zones during the currency vacuum that preceded the June 1948 Währungsreform.
When the Deutsche Mark was introduced, these notes were swept out of circulation rapidly. Most survivors show heavy use — the low denomination meant they passed through many hands in the eighteen months they were viable.
