正面描述 Brown and red bicolour notgeld on cream paper, enclosed within a double-line rectangular border. At centre, the Frankfurt an der Oder municipal coat of arms — a quartered shield bearing an eagle, rendered in red — is flanked by Gothic lettering reading 'FRANK- / FURT / A. O.' and the issuing authority 'Magistrat:'; denomination numerals '10' with Gothic 'Pf.' abbreviations appear at upper left and upper right, each flanked by tall Art Nouveau floral stalk ornaments. The border carries the full civic title 'HAUPT- / STADT / FRANKFURT A.O.' and 'UND HANDELS' around all four sides.

The central vignette, signed 'JOCHEM' at lower right, presents a woodcut-style view of the Marienkirche and the Stadthaus of Frankfurt an der Oder set against billowing clouds, with overlaid ribbon banners identifying the scene and the issuing authority. Denomination '10' appears at upper left and 'Pf.' at upper right in bold Gothic type.

备注

Frankfurt an der Oder was one of hundreds of German municipalities that printed their own small-denomination emergency paper during the postwar Kleingeldnot — the acute shortage of small change that followed the First World War. By 1921 the Reichsbank had lost control of the fractional currency supply entirely, and local magistrates were legally permitted, if loosely supervised, to issue their own notgeld to keep retail commerce moving.

The designer credit "Jochem" is uncommon in the Brandenburg notgeld record and may refer to a local commercial artist rather than a professional printing house engraver.
