These fractional issues were a local administrative necessity, not a banking instrument, and their circulation rarely extended beyond the issuing town's own commerce.

Carl Schleicher & Schüll of Düren, a well-established paper and printing firm, handled a substantial volume of municipal Notgeld contracts during this period. The reference splits suggest at least two distinct sub-varieties within this issue, likely differing in serial numbering or minor typographic detail.
