| Obverse description | Printed in teal-blue and black on white paper with a repeating dot-and-dash letterpress border, the obverse carries the bold Gothic inscription NOTGELD STADT across the upper margin, flanked by large ornate roundels bearing the denomination numeral 10 set within foliate underprints at left and right. A central tonal vignette in blue and black presents a panoramic view of Bitterfeld's church tower above a treeline, framed by the date JUNI 1921, while the issuer name BITTERFELD appears in large decorative Gothic lettering across the lower third. Redemption text and authorization inscription occupy the lower panel, above two manuscript signatures of municipal officials attributed to Der Magistrat, with the designer's mark H. SCHIEBEL 21 at lower right. |

A lower panel carries the denomination numeral 10 at each corner alongside an inscription identifying the building as Das Alte Kornhaus with its construction and demolition dates. |
