The central field carries the heraldic shield of Detmold — a white castle with two flanking towers and two small crosses on a red field, with a large red rose-window motif centred on the keep — rendered in red and black. The denomination numeral '10' appears in each corner, and the legends 'Stadt' and 'Detmold' in large red Gothic script are placed above and below the arms respectively, each flanked by red floral rosettes. |
