The central panel bears a white circular medallion with a bold red numeral '10', flanked by the Gothic-script legends 'Gut für' and 'Pfennig'. Above the central motif a multi-line red text announces the redemption conditions, while below appears the serial number, the place and date of issue 'Detmold, Aug. 1920. der Magistrat', and two rows of manuscript signatures. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is printed in black and red on buff paper, with a rectangular outer border enclosing dense black foliate scroll panels on the left and right flanks. The central field carries the heraldic shield of Detmold — a white castle with two flanking towers and two small crosses on a red field, with a large red rose-window motif centred on the keep — rendered in red and black. The denomination numeral '10' appears in each corner, and the legends 'Stadt' and 'Detmold' in large red Gothic script are placed above and below the arms respectively, each flanked by red floral rosettes. |
