正面描述 Cream-toned notgeld coupon printed in dark grey and light blue, with the issuer's name 'Magistrat der Stadt Celle' in Gothic script across the top, flanked by double horizontal rules. A light blue vignette of the Celle municipal coat of arms — a castle gateway with heraldic supporters — occupies the centre as an underprint behind the large Gothic letterpress denomination '10 Pfennig.' A dotted rule separates the denomination from a two-line redemption clause below, and a serial number in blue appears at the foot.

备注

Celle's municipal authority issued this small-denomination Notgeld in 1919 as part of the wave of local emergency currency that flooded Germany following the collapse of the imperial economy and the acute coin shortage that followed the war. Towns and cities across the country printed their own scrip not as an act of financial ambition but out of simple necessity — Reichsbank metal coinage had largely vanished from circulation, hoarded or melted.

The DeNG reference places this within a well-catalogued series, but municipal issues from smaller Lower Saxon towns like Celle are frequently underrepresented in major collections outside Germany itself.
