Koberg is a small locality in Holstein, and its Amtsbezirk — a rural administrative district rather than a municipality — was among the lesser issuers of German notgeld during the post-WWI small-change crisis. Most district-level offices issued notgeld because coins had been hoarded or melted, leaving everyday transactions effectively impossible.
