Opmerkingen

The "Decreto-Ley" overprint on this series reflects a specific legal mechanism used by the Argentine military government that took power in March 1976 — decree-laws were the junta's instrument for bypassing a suspended legislature, and their appearance on circulating currency was a deliberate assertion of institutional authority. The designation ran across several denominations simultaneously, distinguishing notes issued under that framework from earlier civilian-government issues of identical design.

Casa de Moneda de la Nación had printed the underlying note design since 1973. The overprint changed the legal basis of issue without altering the plate.
