Obverse description The obverse features the Mexican national arms in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field: a Mexican golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus, grasping a serpent in its beak and talons, facing left. The cactus rises from a rocky outcrop flanked by oak and laurel branches tied with a ribbon at the base. The encircling legend reads ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS along the upper periphery in bold serif capitals. The design faithfully reproduces the official coat of arms and is rendered with exceptional detail befitting the proof finish.
